QuickerTek on Monday introduced a new 27dBm transceiver that boosts the MacBook Prois wireless range by up to 100%. The US$200 product is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g networks and features 500 milliwatts of RF power.
In addition to the transceiver, QuickerTekis kit includes a 2dBi antenna, a five-foot cable, an adapter cable, and an AC power adapter. The transceiver connects inside the laptop and a cable exits through the AirPort Express port to the antenna, which clips to the top of the case.
