Newton Beats Origami in Smack Down

· by · News

CNET UK pitted Appleis ten year old Newton MessagePad 2000 against Samsungis new Q1 ultra-mobile PC, and the Newton won. Despite the Q1is faster processor, newer operating system, color display and networking capabilities, the Newton still offered performance that an Origami-based PC just couldnit touch.

The Newton proved capable of performing many of the same tasks that the Q1 could handle, but also offered better computer synchronization, better stability, substantially longer battery life, and a lower price tag.

You can follow along with the blow-by-blow at the CNET UK Web site.
