Nikon Announces Three More Coolpix Digital Cameras

< A href="http://www.nikonusa.com/">Nikon has announced three additional versions of its Coolpix digital cameras. The Coolpix 4600, 5600, and 7600 sport 4.0, 5.1, and 7.0 megapixel resolutions, respectively.

All three share a compact design, 3x optical zoom lenses, 1.8" LCD display, have 14.5MB of internal memory, support Secure Digital media, and are powered by two AA batteries. By contrast, the Coolpix 5900 and 7900, also announced today, have larger screens, a slimmer form, and use rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

The cameras feature In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, Blur Warning, special shooting modes, including the new underwater mode for use with waterproof cases. The Coolpix 7600 also uses higher-quality ED glass in its lens.

The Nikon 4600, 5600, and 7600 all share the same case design.

The cameras will be available in March, 2005 and have MSRPs of US$199.95 for the Coolpix 4600, $279.95 for the Coolpix 5600, and $379.95 for the Coolpix 7600.
