Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 Preview Released

· by · News

Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 is now available as a free preview for registered users of NWP 1.0. The new version adds comment history, Mail Merge with an interface to custom Perl code, and more.

Nisus has included several new features that users have requested. "We added a comment history, which is a great way of grouping together related comments. This feature makes it easier to read all of the comments, without cluttering up your document," Nisus said.

The user can collapse and expand comments as well as customize them.

"Another highly requested feature is Mail Merge. The Mail Merge feature is pretty straightforward, with one twist: You can add custom bits of Perl code as a placeholder. This addition adds flexibility and makes it very customizable. You can use the Apple Address Book or a CSV file as your source. You can also preview the final output," Nisus said.

Other smaller features include Go to Page, and a Large Caret option.
