NitroAV announced the immediate availability of of its Vanguard IIIs external hardware RAID system on Wednesday. The Vanguard can store up to 1TB, has two hot-swappable drive bays, SATA and USB2 interface ports, and handles RAID level 0 (mirroring) and level 1 (striping). It is designed to house two 3.5-inch hard drives, and includes a cooling fan and temperature failure sensors. The Vanguard IIIs is priced starting at US$239 without drives.
