Northern Softworks Updates Jaguar Cache Cleaner With Ram Disk Mounting

Northern Softworks has released an update for Jaguar Cache Cleaner, bringing it to version 1.6. Jaguar Cache Cleaner is a system utility designed for cleaning out corrupted cache data. The update Ram disk creation and mounting among other enhancements. According to Northern Softworks:

Northern Softworks today announced the release of version 1.6 of Jaguar Cache Cleaner, its popular OS X maintenance and utility application.

What is Jaguar Cache Cleaner?

There are times when Jaguar can become plagued with random application crashes (particularly after updating software). There are times when the Internet Preferences seem to get stuck. This usually results in an ability to change the default web browser. Often these problems are a result of corrupted or stale cache data.

Version 1.6 of JCC adds or improves the following:

  • JCC can create and mount Ram Disks
  • JCC can optimize internet settings
  • JCC can request a DHCP lease renewal
  • JCC can repair the /tmp symbolic link
  • Improved the rebuild application prebinding
  • Minor cosmetic bug fixes
