Nu Sans Font Gets FontReserve Compatibility

Scooter Graphics has updated their very "Apple-like" font, Nu Sans, to version 9.6. Nu Sans is based on the font that was to appear in the Copland version of the Mac OS, but never made it to market. The latest version of the font add compatibility with the font management program, FontReserve. According to Scooter Graphics:

Just wanted you to know that my Nu Sans font family has been updated. Version 9.6 is now available in PostScript and TrueType flavors. The TrueType Nu Sans uses hand-edited TrueType instructions to increase readability at *all* point sizes. This version makes Nu Sans compatible with FontReserve and eliminates the bitmap files from the TrueType version of Nu Sans (a savings of almost 100kb).

Nu Sans is inspired by Apple Computeris Espy Sans bitmap font. Espy Sans was going to appear in Copland, but instead we got Charcoal in Mac OS 8.0. Nu Sans brings the most aesthetically pleasing element of that abandoned project to your screen and your printer.

Nu Sans is available for US$12. You can find more information at the Scooter Graphics Web site.
