After the writers strike ended, CBS began running TV ads for the return of its FBI drama series Numb3rs. In the spoofs, Rob Morrow plays John Hodgman playing a PC and David Krumholtz plays Justin Long playing a Mac.
There are two ads, slightly different:
The first ad:<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVSFzswY3XY&hl=en"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EVSFzswY3XY&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
The second ad, with a different ending:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZwURPCvrtks&hl=en"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZwURPCvrtks&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
For those who havenit noticed, David Krumholtz, who plays Dr. Charlie Eppes, uses a MacBook on the show, though the Apple logo has been covered up this season. His astrophysicist friend, Dr. Amita Ramajuan, played by Navi Rawat, uses an iPhone on the show.
Itis a credit to Apple and its ad agency, TBWA\\, that the Get a Mac ads have so percolated into the American psyche that theyire used for other TV ads. I this case, an especially technical drama that showcases Apple products as well.
