· by · News

Actual Technologies released the Actual ODBC Pack, version 2.7, on Tuesday for FileMaker Pro 9. The drivers are designed to work with the ESS feature of FMPro 9 in support of connection to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL databases.

The External SQL Source (ESS) feature of FileMaker Pro allows for access to SQL-based relational databases. The new Actual Technologies ODBC compatible drivers allows users to view and update Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL databases without writing SQL code.

The drivers are compatible with either FileMaker Pro 9 on the desktop or with FileMaker Server 9 and FileMaker Server 9 Advanced. They are simple to install and include on-line help and diagnostic tools to assist in quickly establishing a connection to the database.

The ODBC drivers are Universal Binaries, immediately available and priced starting at US$30.00 per license.
