OS X Tours, Pics From Japan, & MUG Events

The MUG Center has updated its site once again, and there are lots of news and events in the world of Mac User Groups. The MUG Center offers news and resources to MUGs everywhere. This week we have news from Japan, information on an issue of Macworld Magazine, some DV information, information on an OS X tour, and more. From The MUG Center:

The usergrouplife Web site has posted photos of Garr Reynolds, Program Manager of Apple Worldwide User Group Relations, recent visit to KMUG in Japan. Garris visit to his former user group was to present the new iMac and meet with old friends. KMUG, one of the 115 registered Apple user groups in Japan, was founded in the late i80s and is still going as strong as ever.

Macworld Magazine has extended the deadline on a special offer to Macintosh User Groups to purchase, at 50% discount, their upcoming newsstand-only MacOS X special issue. The deadline to order is February 15, so act quickly! Details are posted on the Vendor Offers For MUGs page.

iMovieFest News: The winning entries from iMovieFest at Emory University have been posted to the web for all to see. Sponsored by the Apple Student Core @Emory, this was the eventis second year. More iMovieFests are being conducted at other universities including Georgia Tech and Boston College.
