O ther World Computing and Newer Technology have announced high-capacity replacement batteries for 1st and 2nd generation iPods. The 1800mAh NuPower batteries have 46% more capacity than the batteries originally shipped in the iPods.
The 1800mAh line joins Neweris existing line of 2100mAh 1st and 2nd generation iPod batteries that offer 70% more capacity.
The batteries come with two tools that OWC says are non-scratching for replacing the batteries, along with an instruction manual for how to do so.
