OWC Ships 1.5TB Mercury Elite-AL Pro FireWire RAID

Other World Computing (OWC) on Thursday began shipping a 1.5TB version of its Mercury Elite-AL Pro FireWire 800 RAID dual drive storage solution. Itis priced at US$1,149.99 and features 32MB of data buffer -- double the amount found in other models in the line, which starts at 160GB for $219.99. It also offers a pair of FireWire 800 ports as well as one FireWire 400 ports and comes with EMC Retrospect Backup software and the Intech HD Speedtools utility suite.
