OmniOutliner 2.2 Update Features Keynote Support

The Omni Group has released an update for OmniOutliner, bringing it to version 2.2. OmniOutliner is a Cocoa based list creator designed for making lists and outlines in OS X. The latest update features Keynote import/export support and stylesheet converting. According to The Omni Group:

The Omni Group today released OmniOutliner 2.2.

The new version of the popular Mac OS X outlining tool adds XML export, which allows users to present outlines in many new formats through XSLT (a language for transforming XML documents into other types of documents). Now OmniOutliner users can use a stylesheet to transform a document into HTML that Word can interpret as an outline. Stylesheets can be created to generate other formats, such as TeX documents.

OmniOutliner 2.2 also provides import and export compatibility with Keynote files. Importing loads the bullets and speaker notes from a Keynote document. Exporting requires a theme, which can be selected in the new OmniOutliner preference panel. Each top level item in OmniOutliner will be a slide, and subitems will use the "Title & Bullets" master slide, as specified in the theme. OmniOutliner notes can be saved as speaker notes in the exported file.

You can find more information about the OmniOutliner update at the Omni Group Web site. OmniOutliner is available for US$29.95.
