Omni Group Updates OmniOutliner

The Omni Group has updated their program for helping users organizes thoughts and ideas, OmniOutliner, to version 1.2. OmniOutliner is a unique application that allows users to record and organize ideas in a user friendly outline form. According to The Omni Group:

The Omni Group today shipped its latest beta of OmniOutliner, its MacOS X tool for outlining and organizing thoughts.

In addition to being the first beta built for OS X 10.0, the 1.2 release contains a very large number of new features beyond the 1.0 release it replaces, including allowing entries to have multiple lines, allowing different fonts and styles in each entry, and allowing multiple columns.

"I use OmniOutliner constantly -- I have it open all the time, to scribble notes, organize thoughts about games Iim writing, keep track of what I eat," enthused Wil Shipley, who of course has a completely unbiased opinion since heis the president of The Omni Group. "This is a major release for OmniOutliner -- it hints at some of the directions weill be taking this to make it a truly unique application. But, right now, OmniOutliner is simply aimed at people who liked More(tm)... we donit have all the features More had yet, but we hope to have that same isit down and instantly understandi feel."

You may use OmniOutliner in a somewhat limited manner for free, or register the program for full functionality. You can find more information at The Omni Group Web site.
