OnMyCommandCM Updated With AppleScript Support

Abracode, Inc. has released an update for OnMyCommandCM, bringing it to version 1.6. OnMyCommandCM is a plug-in designed for contextual command line execution. The update features AppleScript support and bug fixes. According to Abracode:

OnMyCommandCM 1.6 is a new version of contextual menu command line instruction executor. UNIX command may take a clicked object path as a parameter so you may perform an action on file or folder. A command can be executed in Terminal.app or silently. But the best part is that users build their own commands, their own Contextual Menu Items.

What is new in version 1.6:

CommandDroplet - small application executing OMC commands. You can create standalone applets using the same command description format

Direct AppleScript support. You can put AppleScript code into command description, no need to go through osascript call

Output window to see the result of command execution. In many cases it eliminates the need to send the command to terminal

An option to paste clipboard content after command execution. Most useful in text context with pbcopy or AppleScriptis set the clipboard to...

Bug fixes. Most important fix involves a long standing bug with popen execution mode aborting some commands. Now you should be able to execute almost anything in popen mode

Knut Lorenzenis OMCEdit is now included with the main OnMyCommandCM distribution

Discussion forums. Some users expressed interest in having a place to discuss command descriptions

BlackTreeis QuickSilver now supports OMC commands as actions. You can download the plug-in for QuickSilver

Online command collection contains about 300 commands
