One Less Reason to Hate Microsoft - Windows Media Player for OS X January 7th, 2002 at 2:00 PM - Macworld Expo by John F. Braun Imagine our surprise while cruising the show floor and seeing Windows Media Player being shown in Microsoftis OS X area. Last we checked, when dealing with a particularly nasty Microsoft-specifc media file, there was only a version for OS 9. But sure enough, when we stopped by Microsoftis Mactopia page, we spotted a "Windows Media Player for Mac. New for Mac OS X!" button.
