Online Retailer Lists Core 2 Duo MacBook, with Specs

· by · News

Online retailer Play.com is currently listing a Core 2 Duo MacBook, complete with specs, even though such a product has yet to be announced by Apple. The retailer is listing a iApple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2GHz 512MB RAM 13.3" Widescreen Laptopi for £1029 (including VAT), the same price Apple sells the Core Duo MacBooks that are currently on the market.

The page listing has specs that are the same as the Core Duo models, but lists a release date of November 13th, 2006, which is next Tuesday. Tuesday is the day Apple normally releases new products, but the company is not known for clueing in retailers ahead of time for any new products. In addition, Appleis official policy is to not comment on unannounced products.

SpyMac appears to be the first site to have noticed the listing at Play.com.
