Opera 6 Out Of Beta And Now Shipping

Opera Software has released a full new version of Opera, bringing it to version 6.0. Opera is an internet browser designed for interfacing a user with the world of the Internet. The latest version features numerous new enhancements including faster rendering and improved font switching. According to Opera Software:

Opera Software ASA today released the final version of Opera 6 for Mac OS 8.6-10.2.2, offering Mac users a faster and better Internet experience.

Opera 6 for Mac includes major changes since Opera 5 for Mac, including faster rendering speed, improved font switching for international Web pages, some user interface fixes, a new autosave pages feature, and a shared library for developers.

Developers can contact Opera to embed this library on Macintosh applications requiring a rendering engine. Opera 6 for Mac also includes local language support.
