· by · News

Mac Resource in Huntsville, Alabama is moving. So theyire selling the 5.5 foot (1.7 m.), neon-lit, colored Apple that has been hanging outside the old store. Itis for sale on eBay.

At the eBay posting, the dealership said, "We are an Apple authorized dealer and are relocating our store and no longer need this sign. The actual size of the sign measures 5 foot 10 inches tall. It is in excellent condition and works perfectly. The sign is manufactured with heavy duty welded aluminum and is lit by seven neon tubes. We are planning to take the sign off the building July 30th."

Lots of pictures have been posted at eBay, and the opening bid is US$2,500. The winner of the bidding is responsible for all shipping or on-site pickup.

For all those whoive always wanted to have one of these neon-lit Apple logos hanging in their offices, hereis a golden (well, multi-colored) opportunity. In addition, since Apple switched from the rainbow logo to solid colors years ago, this really is a piece of history.
