PUBLICSPACE.NET Releases Beta Version Of A Better Finder Launcher

PUBLICSPACE.NET has released a new beta version of A Better Finder Launcher, bringing it to version 1.0b4. A Better Finder Launcher is a plug-in for the Mac finder designed for application launching. The latest beta release features a new interface and other enhancements. According to PUBLICSPACE.NET:

PUBLICSPACE.NET is pleased to announce that the fifth member of its popular A Better Finder tool series, A Better Finder Launcher, is now available for public beta testing.

Simply press the Control-Command-L keyboard combination and start typing the name of the application. After only the first few letters A Better Finder Launcher will have narrowed down the matching application names to a single one; then simply hit the return key to launch the application. How much easier or quicker could it be?

The fourth beta release features the following changes:

  • All new user interface
  • The Instant-On feature provides instant switching to A Better Finder Launcher (can be switched off from the "System Preferences..." dialog to conserve memory)
  • Application name matching can now be switched between "Application name begins with:" and "Application name contains word:"
  • Remembers the last application that was launched across sessions
  • Fixed a problem where programs in the Utilities folder appeared twice in the application table
