PandaWare Releases New AppleScript To Ward Off SoBig

The PandaWare Company has released a new AppleScript program designed for automatic deletion of .pif and .scr file attachments. The app is in response to the inundation of the SoBig virus, recently spreading throughout the world. According to PandaWare Company:

Thereis now help for Mac OS X users whose email programs automatically download email virus attachments. The PandaWare Company has released a free AppleScript solution that watches a useris download folder for files whose extension is ".pif" or ".scr", and moves such files to the trash.

Widespread PC-based viruses have been inundating some Mac users with such files in recent days. Although Mac users are not susceptible to the programs these attachments run, they can quickly clutter oneis download folder.
