Photo, Video Sharing Service Phanfare Adds Mac Support

The online photo and video sharing service Phanfare has added support for Mac OS X with the release of a Beta of the Mac version of the software. The Phanfare application enables users to upload their images and film clips to the companyis servers and share them with others over the Internet.

Features available in Phanfare include automatic synching of Web albums, a turbo caption option for rapidly adding captions to photos, the ability to remove red eye, and fix lighting the ability to manipulate images in groups, support for JPEG and Photoshop PSD file formats and support for AVI, MPEG and QuickTime movies. Image effects including sepia, emboss and water are available, as are cropping, brightness and contrast controls.

The Phanfare service costs US$54.95 annually or $6.95 per month, with a 30-day trial available. Itis free for non-profits, schools and religious groups. The company did not say when the Mac Beta will expire. Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" is required.
