Ergonis Software announced the immediate availability of a beta version of PopChar X 3.0 on Wednesday. PopChar X is menu bar add on that gives you access to every character in every font installed on your Mac without having to remember special keyboard combinations. The beta for version 3 is a Universal Binary application, offering native support for both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, plus it also adds a new quick search feature, improved font and character selection, an improved interface, and more.
The free public beta is available for download at the Ergonis Software Web site. The official PopChar X 3 release should be in the next few weeks. The current shipping version, PopChar X 2.3, is priced at US$29.99.
