Prosoft Engineering has released Data Rescue II, a new version of its data recovery software that features a redesigned user interface, new ways to browse files and a more capable means of retrieving deleted files. It also supports 10 times more file types than the previous version and is faster with file scanning and recovery, with more reliable file recovery algorithms.
Upgrades are free for anyone who purchased the previous version during 2005; all others will need to pay US$65. Full licenses sell for US$99. An unlimited site license is available for $349. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.x or higher and 128MB RAM.
