4D, Inc. is shipping a second beta version of 4D Web Mail for the Mac. 4D Web Mail is an email client used for cross-platform email sending/recieving. The second beta version ships with compatibility for SMTP and POP3 servers, and other features. According to 4D:
4D, Inc., publishers of the 4th Dimension RAD/RDBMS Environment and 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, today announced the second public beta release of 4D WebMail, a Web-based email client.
As a cross-platform browser plug-in, 4D WebMail is compatible with SMTP or POP3 email servers and supports Virtual Hosts. 4D WebMail can be used from any browser to read, reply, forward, send and file email. Easily administered and customized, 4D Webmail contains a built-in address book, search capability and file management. Users can send and receive attachments, plus tailor their own mail formatting, signatures, and other user information.
