QuarkXPress 7.3 Adds Default PDF Output Styles

Quark released QuarkXPress 7.3 on Wednesday with several new default PDF output styles and improved application performance. The new output styles include settings for screen, print, and PDF/X.

PDF output styles are now available for Press – High Quality/High Resolution, Print – Medium Quality/Medium Resolution, Screen – Medium Quality/Low Resolution, Screen – Low Quality/Low Resolution, PDF/X-1a:2001, and PDF/X-3:2002.

The update also added localized language interface support for European Portuguese, Russian, Finnish, Croatian, and Hungarian. Hyphenation and spelling support has been added for Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Latvian, Estonian, Icelandic, and Slovak.

QuarkXPress 7.3 is a free update for registered users, and is available for download at the Quark Web site. QuarkXPress 7 is priced at US$749.
