Quark announced the immediate availability of Quark Publishing System 7 on Monday. The updated version of the collaborative workflow management system for publishing professionals added real-time collaboration support, support for QuarkXPress 7 and QuarkCopyDesk 7, and more.
The new system also implemented an open standards-based architecture for more scalable cross-platform support, added a new client that lets workgroup members work in the applications they want, added a new Web-based editor so users can work on projects from a Web browser, file streaming, and added HSQL and Microsoft SQL support.
