QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of the Apple Juicz on Tuesday. Apple Juicz is a portable and foldable solar charger and power source for the MacBook Air.

The Apple Juicz is available in three different sizes. The 19 watt model recharges the MacBook Air in 14 hours, and unfolds to 30.5 x 30 inches; the 29 watt model recharges the MacBook Air in eight hours, and unfolds to 41.5 x 30.5 inches; the 58 watt model recharges the MacBook Air in five hours, and unfolds to 60 x 42 inches.
The charger requires a modified power adapter. QuickerTek can modify a user-supplied MacBook Air power adapter for US$25, or offers already modified adapters for $100.
The 19 watt model is priced at $500, the 29 watt model costs $600, and the 58 watt model costs $1,000. All are available at the QuickerTek Web site and include an Element carrying bag designed to hold a MacBook Air and Apple Juicz solar charger.
