QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of its new external MacBook Air battery charger and extender on Monday. The unit charges the MacBook Airis internal battery and simultaneously offers an additional six to ten hours of run time.
The external charging pack also recharges the MacBook Airis battery in three hours instead of the four hours Appleis own charger requires, and includes an LED charging status indicator.
The MacBook Air External Battery Charger is available at the QuickerTek Web site. It is priced at US$299.95 and requires a QuickerTek-modified MacBook Air power adapter. QuickerTek will upgrade your adapter for $25, and also offer already modified chargers for $100.
