REALVIZ announced Tuesday it has begun shipping ImageModeler 4.0 for Mac, a solution for measuring and creating three dimensional scenes using photographs.
New features in version 4.0 include a 3D/2D Integration Tool, UV Mapping Editor which enables users to edit the uv mapping of textures, new calibration constraints, the ability to apply textures obtained from other sources, Quicktime VR Object Movie export, and exporting of a 3D scene as a jpeg file.
ImageModeler takes information from still photos and creates 3D models with highly realistic textures. The resulting model can be exported to other authoring packages like Adobe Photoshop.
ImageModeler 4.0 is priced at US$1,380. Current owners of ImageModeler 3.5 are able to upgrade to version 4.0 for $520, while owners of earlier versions can upgrade for $690.
