REALbasic Universal Binary Support in September

REAL Software announced on Monday that REALbasic 2006 Release 4, available in September, will add the ability to compile applications in the Universal Binary format. The update will allow most applications developed with REALbasic to be updated to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs with a single mouse click.

REALbasic 2006 Release 4 will be free for all users with a current update plan, and a development preview is available at the REAL Software Web site. Participation in the beta also requires a current update plan.

REALbasic 2006 pricing starts at US$99, and update programs start at $50.
