RIM Gives PocketMac for BlackBerry Free With Every Device

SAN FRANCISCO -- Research In Motion (RIM), developer of the BlackBerry handheld, and Information Appliance Associates (IAA), creator of the PocketMac for BlackBerry synchronization tool, on Thursday announced that RIM will include a free copy of IAAis software with each handheld it sells. Beginning next month, PocketMac for BlackBerry will also be a free download from the PocketMac and BlackBerry Web sites.

PocketMac for BlackBerry synchronizes the e-mail, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes of Microsoft Entourage, OS Xis Address Book and iCal, Now Contact and Now Up-to-Date, DayLite, and Stickies, among other applications. RIM and IAA said that they also plan to collaborate on future products.
