· by Mike Washlesky · News

RedleX has released an update for Mellel, bringing it to version 1.6.7. Mellel is a multi-lingual utility designed for word processing. The update features expanded language support and the inlcusion of Bookends from Sonny Software. According to RedleX:

RedleX have released Mellel 1.6.7, an update to its advanced multi-lingual word processor for Mac OS X.

RedleX have teamed with Sonny Software creators of Bookends, an advanced Bibliography/reference manager to create a solution that smoothly integrates writing and reference management.

The two products allow you to insert citations into a document, edit them, review a list of citations used in a document, look-up or directly jump to a reference, scan documents for citations, automatically append bibliography, and much more.

Mellel 1.6.7 also introduces two new additions to its growing family of localised versions: Japanese and Esperanto. The Esperanto localisation for Mellel is the first such localisation on Mac OS X. Also of note in this release is the addition of an improved line-breaking support for Japanese.

You can find more information about the Mellel update at the RedleX Web site. Mellel 1.6.7 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$19.00.
