Reduced Prices On XLR8 Processor Upgrades

XLR8 has announced a price reduction on G3 and G4 upgrades from Macworld today. Also reduced is the Carrier ZIF family of processor upgrades for Mac clones. The upgrades are designed to improve processor speed and performance on several levels. According to XLR8:

Macworld Expo, San Francisco, January 9th, 2002: XLR8, the leading manufacturer of Macintosh multiprocessor upgrades and expansion products, has lowered their pricing on the MACh Speed and MACh Carrier families of G3 and G4 upgrades for the Power Macintosh computers. All XLR8 upgrade cards include XLR8is MACh Speed Control software and offer the industries best compatibility with advanced Mac OS 9 and OS X features such as QuickTime, and Velocity Engine (Altivec ).

The price of the Carrier ZIF family of processor upgrades has also been lowered. The ZIF processor adapter cards allow for owners of 73xx, 75xx, 85xx, 86xx, 95xx, 96xx and Macintosh clones to upgrade to the fastest Motorola G4 7400 ZIF processors available.
