Samsung announced its new credit card-sized i85 eight megapixel digital camera on Monday. The camera measures 3.74 x 2.42 x 0.8-inches, includes a non-protruding 5x optical zoom lens, a one centimeter macro focus, and up to 1/2,000 second shutter speed.

The i85 also includes a face detection mode, image stabilization, a Wise Shot mode that takes two pictures in rapid succession (one with image stabilization on, and a second using the flash), and several built-in image effects. The camera comes with 256MB of storage built in, and is expandable to 4GB with SDHC/SD cards.
The i85 will be available this fall for US$349.
