Deep Sky Technologies, Inc. has released the second public beta of eTrans. eTrans is a 4th Dimension component for creating interfaces between online credit card authorization services. eTrans is designed to streamline the interface creation process by simplifying code. The second public beta now has WorldPay support as well as other online transaction provider services. According to Deep Sky Technologies:

Deep Sky Technologies, Inc., today announced the release of the second public beta of eTrans for Macintosh and Windows. eTrans is a 4th Dimension component which provides a simple, consistent interface to online credit card authorization service providers. Using eTrans, 4th Dimension developers can build credit card authorization services into their 4D databases in a matter of minutes.

With eTrans, credit card and electronic check processing can be added to 4D applications with as little as four (4) lines of code. Switching between gateway processors requires a change in only a single line of code when using the eTrans component. This is ideal for vertical market applications where the processing of credit cards and electronic checks would be a value added feature for end
customers.

This new beta adds support for WorldPay as a payment gateway. As well, multi-currency support has been added through the online gateway routines available from both PlanetPayment and WorldPay.

Currently, eTrans supports processing of transactions through the following provider services online:

  • AuthorizeNet
  • PlanetPayment
  • LinkPoint
  • E-Xact
  • WorldPay

You can find more information about the public beta of eTrans at the Deep Sky Technologies, Inc. Web site. The commercial release of eTrans will be priced at US$195.00 for a one year licence
