Seiko Revamps Smart Label Printer Line; Adds Mac Support

Seiko Instruments USA has released three new models of its Smart Label Printer line that will be available in July, the company said Monday.

The SLP 410, 420 and 430 Smart Label Printers allow the user to create one label at a time for envelopes, files, storage boxes, floppy or Zip disks, video cassettes, 35mm slides, bar codes and a variety of other office and home applications.. The 400 series printers are networkable using serial and USB connectors built-in.

For the first time, the Seiko label printers are Mac compatible out of the box, supporting Mac OS X 10.2 or higher on Power Macintosh G3/G4/G5 or iMac.

The SLP 410 will retail for US$99; the SLP 420 for $129; and the SLP 430 for $179 and will begin shipping June 30.
