James Associateis MacGPS Pro 6.1 (US$50; Mac OS X v10.2 required) stitches adjacent USGS Digital Raster Topographical Maps together, shows multiple raster maps in the same window, and locates USGS topographical maps by the quadrant name.

Bare Bones Softwareis text editor TextWrangler 2.1.1 (free; Mac OS X v10.3.5 required) is a maintenance release that fixes bugs and tweaks the interface. Unmarked Softwareis TextSoap 4.5.1 ($24.99; Mac OS X v10.3 required), another text editor, addresses two specific problems: one that caused the application to lock up when wrapping text on some computers and another that kept it from launching on older machines running Mac OS X v10.3.

Finally, GoldfishSoft has released SaveMe 1.3 ($20; Mac OS X v10.4 required), an update to its auto-saving utility that features keyboard control and customizability, interface enhancements and a universal binary that will allow it to run on todayis PowerPC-based Macs as well as next yearis Intel-based Macs.
