Site For The UNIX Geek: ITworld.com Adding More Mac OS X Content
March 30th, 2003 at 2:00 PM - News by Vern Seward
Has OS X finally arrived in the corporate IT sector? Maybe, maybe not, but it certainly has caught the eye of many UNIX geeks and gurus, as evidenced by the appearance of an increasing number of articles in UNIX trade media, both in paper periodicals and online. These are the places where those who know or want to know all things UNIX go to get a heaping helping of techno-gruel, the how-tos and what-fors that make UNIX tick.
One such online spot frequented by the geeky is ITworld.com, a UNIX-centric Web site that recently started to carry articles that focus on or include OS X. This is good news for Mac fans wanting to know more about what make OS X, and UNIX in general, go.
For instance, have you been curious about vi, one of the default line editors that nearly all versions of UNIX have, including OS X? ITworld.com has a series of articles with tricks and tips on using vi, some very useful stuff.
Whether you are a UNIX god or an acolyte, if you run OS X, then youill want to stop by ITworld.com from time to time.
Weid like to thank Observer, Dan Bolling, for flagging ITworld.com for us.
