Skype announced the immediate availability of Skype 2.6 for the Mac on Wednesday. The updated version of the Internet-based chat application sports a new Call Transfer feature that isnit yet available in the Windows version. Call Transfer lets Mac Skype users transfer voice calls to other users in their Skype contact list.

Version 2.6 also added the ability to join public chats, see when others are writing messages, auto-check for updates, use DTMF tones during Skype-to-Skype calls, and more.
