Niagra Software has announced an update for Slendid City Lite, bringing it to version 2.7. Spendid City Lite is a sports themed utility designed to cover all aspects of league organizing and scheduling. The update features several enhancements including cross divisional scheduling and swiss roound tournaments. According to Sports Scheduler:
Here at Niagara Software, we wanted to let you know that weive released a free version of our sports scheduling software called Splendid City Lite v2.7 (formerly known as Advanced Team Scheduler).
Splendid City Team Sports Scheduler, and Sports Scheduling System is useful for people who organize team sport or game events. It can manage sport schedules of any size and complexity. Simply fill in the requested information into the wizard like interface, and Splendid City automates the season, tournament, league, match, and round-robin schedules.
New program features are as follows:
- Added support for Cross Divisional Scheduling where users may specify teams and the opponents they should play
- Added support for Swiss Round Tournaments. Users can specify the number of rounds and may create a point allocation scheme using the updated standing preferences ensuring that all teams get a fair distribution of games
- New project schedule merge panel allowing users to combine some or all project schedules into one complete schedule for incorporation into auto generated published representations of Splendid City projects
- New schedule game calculator to make it easier to calculate the number of total games needed for certain schedule criteria
- Schedule teams are now monitored for number of early and late game slots and are more evenly distrubuted through out the schedule
- Improved handling of object pools. Fixed a bug with regards to the auto import/export preference feature of pool objects
- New Splendid City Publisher panel that replaces the older export and ftp panels. Users may now choose to publish a project and all of itis schedules as a full blown web site in a few clicks
