SlingPlayer for Macs Released

Sling Media has released SlingPlayer for Mac, a software client for SlingBox that allows customers to view their home TV or Apple TV remotely on a Macintosh. The software has been in beta since October 2006 and is free.

The software, version 1.0, includes photo-realistic remote controls. It is available in the U.S. and Canada.

The Apple TV, AT&T U-verse and TiVo Series 3 are supported.

SlingPlayer for Mac, version 1.0, requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and supports both PPC and Intel Macs. It is a free download.
