SmartDisk Corp. announced Wednesday three new versions of its FireLite portable hard drives.
The new models are the FireWire 800-equipped FireLite 80GB at a suggested retail price of US$329, the FireWire FireLite 100GB ($359.99) and USB 2.0-equipped FireLite 100GB ($349.99).
Both FireWire and USB 2.0 models are bus powered, meaning they can be powered directly through the FireWire or USB 2.0 cable used to connect them to a computer. The drives are palm-sized and weigh about six ounces.
The drives are available immediately through retailers and distributors as well as through the companyis Web site.
