SmartWrap Removes Unwanted Text Formatting

Selznick Scientific Software has updated their tool for removing unwanted text formatting, SmartWrap, to version 1.8. SmartWrap automates the process of removing line breaks and formatting from text from any number of sources, especially useful for "cleaning" text from e-mail, the Web, or from other computer platforms. According to Selznick Scientific:

Selznick Scientific Software, LLC is pleased to announce an update for its popular SmartWrap(tm) software for Macintosh to version 1.8.

SmartWrap analyzes hard-to-read text and e-mails and automatically re-wraps them perfectly by removing all unnecessary line breaks, quote characters, and excess formatting! SmartWrap is NOT a blind search and replace tool. SmartWrap(tm) performs extensive analysis to determine the best way to wrap your text naturally within your documentis window, unhindered by excess formatting.

Changes:

  • Better detection and wrapping of e-mails containing awkwardly formatted lists.
  • Eudora plug-in now MacOS X compatible.
  • BBEdit plug-in now MacOS X compatible.
  • SmartWrap(tm) the Clipboard utility now MacOS X compatible.

SmartWrap is available for US$15. You can find more information at the Selznick Scientific Software Web site.
