SoftCare has released a new version of Text-O-Meter, bringing it to version 2.0. Text-O-Meter is an InDesign and InCopy plug-in designed for manipulating overset texts. The application also features integration within the K4 publication system, also from SoftCare. According to SoftCare:
SoftCare have released version 2.0 of their plug-in Text-O-Meter for Adobe InDesign 2.0 and Adobe InCopy 2.0. Text-O-Meter gives the user complete control over text length and text overset, enabling the user to count, display, edit and print overset text.
Text-O-Meter calculates text length by number of characters and number of lines in an accessible floating palette. The palette remains open while editing, allowing the user to monitor text development while writing. Text-O-Meter can automatically show or hide overset frames for the selected text flow or all text flows on the page, allowing the user to see and edit overset text. The overset text frames are also printable, so that overset text can be proof-read on paper.
