Mac upgrade maker Sonnet Technologies announced Thursday the Tempo Bridge, a parallel-to-serial ATA conversion kit.
The Temp Bridge (see photo below) is compatible with any Mac using a Serial ATA Interface and allows for the use of any 3.5-inch parallel ATA hard drive. "Serial ATA, the emerging high-performance drive interface technology, offers greater performance than parallel ATA and uses smaller cables and connectors for better cooling," a company statement said.
The Tempo Bridge is expected to begin shipping October 25, with an suggested retail price of US$49.95.
