Sorenson Media announced Monday the availability of Sorenson Squeeze 4.1, the latest update to its video encoding and compression application for Mac OS X.
The Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 Compression Suite has added the ability to set destinations for compressed video files, introduces support for aacPlus audio and interoperates with optional Macintosh Windows Media 9 encoding components, allowing users to import and encode Windows Media 9 audio and video directly on the Mac.
The new destination feature helps integrate Squeeze in a video workflow by letting users optionally set one or more destinations for the final video file. Users can set their own destinations, including other networked computers or download sites.
Squeeze 4.1 also adds support for Telestreamis Flip4Macis WMV Components, a cross-platform Windows Media 9 encoding tool that runs on the Macintosh.
Squeeze 4.1 is available for free to current users of version 4.0. The Telestream Flip4Mac WMV Components are available starting at US$99.00 (Flip4Mac WMV Suite).
