Spiderweb Software on Friday announced that it will ship the latest installment in its role-playing series Geneforge in late 2006. Geneforge 4: Rebellion takes players back to the world of the Shapers, who can create life in any form they choose but who have found their creations beginning to fight back against their domination.
Players join the side of the rebellion against the Shapers, but theyire constantly tempted to switch sides and gain the Shapersi powers for themselves. The game has a large, sprawling storyline with different sides of the conflict and dozens of different endings.
Geneforge 4 will sell for US$28, or $34 with a hint book, and will require System 8.1 or higher, 50MB RAM, 150MB free hard drive space, and a display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution, with 16-bit color.
