The Associated Press has published a piece by Allison Linn that examines Microsoftis entrance into the computer security market. According to the article, the Windows maker has two options. By ignoring the problem, "the company risks further alienating customers," but by entering the market, "Microsoft faces a potential backlash from some of its allies," including Symantec, Inc. and McAfee Corp.
