Forbes magazineis annual list of the 400 richest people in America is out, and Apple CEO Steve Jobs placed #49 with US$4.9 billion worth of assets. According to the magazine, his stake as Disneyis largest shareholder accounts for $4 billion of that money.
Bill Gates topped the list, with $53 billion. Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison is number four with $19.5 billion, followed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen at number five with $16 billion. Michael Dell, at number nine with $15.5 billion, is the only other technology name in the top ten.
Notable technology names in the top 100 include Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page at numbers 12 and 13 with $14.1 billion and $14 billion, respectively, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at number 15 with $13.6 billion, Google CEO Eric Schmidt at number 48 with $5 billion, Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos at number 70 with $3.6 billion, and Intelis Gordon Moore at number 77 with $3.4 billion. Movie moguls George Lucas and Steven Spielberg came in at numbers 70 and 94 with $3.6 billion and $2.9 billion, respectively.
